Human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), is a multipotent cell population from human mesenchymal tissues. They could be expanded in vitro, capable of differenitating into osteoblasts, chondrocytes and adipocytes. Umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UMSCs) are one type of MSCs that derived from umbilical cord of new borns , which has been extensivley used in clinical trials of tisssue damage repair, anti-aging and immunosuppression.
Along with the advancement of living conditions, diabetes and other metabolic syndromes emergy as a prevalent threat for senile populations. According to statistics, the amount of diabetes patients is up to 100 millions. MSCs has been proved to be one of the important medicines for diabetes. Our company aims to developing the UMSCs as a cellular medicine and approache for treatment of diabetes.
